Corrections and factual errors

This is the most useful message you can send us. If a price is out of date, a feature has moved between plans, a product has been discontinued or we have simply got something wrong, tell us — ideally with a link to the source that shows it.

We treat corrections as a priority over new work. Our correction policy explains how we handle them and how a change is marked on the page.

Editorial feedback, questions and suggestions

Use this for:

• A question we did not answer. If you came here trying to decide something and left without an answer, that is a gap in our coverage and we want to know about it.
• A product we should cover. Tell us what you use and what you were comparing it against. We are more interested in what real buyers are weighing up than in what is being marketed hardest.
• Disagreement. If you think an assessment is wrong, make the case. We have changed pages on the strength of a good argument from a reader more than once.

We do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles or "link insertions", and we do not publish content written by anyone with a commercial interest in the products discussed. Pitches of that kind will not receive a reply.

If you work on a product we cover, we are glad to hear from you — particularly about factual accuracy. Correcting a mistake about your product is welcome and always free.

To set expectations clearly:

• We will correct anything factually wrong, quickly.
• We will not remove a fair criticism, change a verdict, or add a product to a shortlist in exchange for a commercial relationship, a review copy, or a paid placement.
• Extended trials or briefings are useful and we may accept them, but they never come with editorial conditions, and any that materially informed a page is disclosed on it.

We are an independent publication, not a vendor or a reseller. That means we cannot:

• provide technical support for any software we write about — the vendor's own support channel will always be faster and better informed;
• recover an account, process a refund, or cancel a subscription on your behalf;
• provide legal, tax, accounting or financial advice about a purchase decision;
• offer bespoke procurement consulting or paid recommendations.
